The Stain Files

Whatever’s on your concrete, we’ve met it before.

Every stain fights differently, and most of them laugh at a garden hose. Find yours below, then hover or tap to wash it. Each one gets its own chemistry and its own game plan, and that’s exactly why they come out.

Motor OilWash it

The black patch where the car parks.

Degreaser and a stiff brush usually push oil deeper into the pores. It looks better wet, then the shadow comes right back.

Our play: a hot pre-treatment opens the concrete’s pores, then a surface cleaner flushes the oil out instead of around.

RustWash it

Orange trails under planters and patio furniture.

Hardware-store acid can eat the concrete around the stain and leave a scar whiter than the rust it removed.

Our play: a rust-specific treatment matched to your slab, tested on a small spot first, then washed clean and even.

Tire MarksWash it

Black arcs where the tires sit and turn.

Hot Vegas pavement bakes the rubber in. A hose does nothing, and scrubbing just polishes it.

Our play: degreaser dwell time plus controlled pressure lifts the rubber without etching wand lines into the finish.

Hard WaterWash it

White crust where the sprinklers overspray.

Scrubbing smears the minerals around, and our hard Las Vegas water lays a fresh coat every week.

Our play: the right detergent dissolves the mineral film, and the wash carries it off the slab instead of spreading it.

Gum & GreaseWash it

Drop spots by the grill, the fridge, the trash cans.

Scraping leaves shadows and gouges, and grease keeps wicking back up through the surface.

Our play: heat and targeted detergent break it down, then an even wash so the spot doesn’t out-clean the rest of the slab.

PaintWash it

The paint that peeled, tipped, or oversprayed.

Strippers can blotch the concrete around the spill and turn one stain into two problems.

Our play: patient, layered removal. It’s literally the job our first Google review raves about, and it’s below.

Commercial Concrete

Sidewalks, parking lots, dumpster pads?

Commercial properties get their own pages, scheduling around business hours, and 10% off the first service. If you manage the property, start there.

Clean Without Damage

“Will it damage my concrete?” Fair question. No.

Concrete is tough, but it isn’t invincible, and neither are the paver joints and cool deck around it. Here’s the exact four-step run your driveway gets, the same one every surface on the property gets matched against.

Can pressure washing damage concrete? In the wrong hands, yes. Too much pressure held too close can etch lines into the finish and blow the sand out of paver joints. The fix is method, not muscle: controlled pressure through a surface cleaner on concrete, gentler settings on pavers and cool deck, and no high pressure at all on surfaces that can’t take it.

01

Walk it & match the method

We look at the slab, the stains and everything bordering it, then pick the pressure, the tips and the chemistry to fit. You hear the plan before any water moves.

02

Pre-treat the stains hot

Oil, rust, tire rubber and gum each get their own treatment with real dwell time, so the wash lifts the stain out instead of driving it deeper.

03

Surface-clean it even

A spinning surface cleaner runs the slab edge to edge at the right PSI. That’s how the finish comes out uniform, with no zebra stripes from a waving wand.

04

Rinse, recover, walk through

Biodegradable detergents, wash-water recovery on the jobs that call for it, and a final walk with you before we roll up the hose. Done means you agree it’s done.

Questions

Asked on every driveway quote. Answered straight.

The honest answers up front, including the one most companies won’t give you about oil stains. Anything else, ask with your quote.

How much does it cost to pressure wash a driveway in Las Vegas?

+

Our standing driveway special is a flat $150 for a standard driveway, and that’s the real number, not a teaser. Oversized slabs, heavy oil or paint, and add-ons like walkways and patios get quoted individually, for free, usually from a photo. You’ll have your exact price before anyone shows up, and the price we quote is the price you pay.

Can you get oil stains out completely?

+

Here’s the honest version: most oil stains come out dramatically, and the driveway stops looking stained. But oil that has soaked deep into old concrete for years can leave a faint shadow even after professional treatment. If we think yours will, we tell you before we start, not after. That’s also why the pre-treatment step exists: it’s the difference between lifting the stain and just rinsing its surface.

Can pressure washing damage my concrete?

+

In the wrong hands, yes. Too much pressure held too close can etch wand lines into concrete and blow the sand out of paver joints. That’s why we run driveways with a surface cleaner at controlled pressure, use gentler settings on pavers and cool deck, and keep high pressure away from anything that can’t take it. Method first, muscle second.

How often should a driveway be washed in the desert?

+

For most Vegas homes, once a year keeps the concrete ahead of the dust, the drips and the hard-water spray. Driveways that catch oil drips, heavy tire traffic or sprinkler overspray usually want attention sooner, and if you’re listing the house, a wash right before photos is some of the cheapest curb appeal money buys.

Do you clean sidewalks, walkways and patios too?

+

Yes, and the same visit is the smart way to do it: the equipment is already out, so bundling the walkway, curb line, patio or garage floor costs less than booking them separately. Mention what else needs attention when you send your quote and we’ll price the whole picture.

Google Reviews

Our first five-star review? A driveway.

★★★★★

Not a testimonial we wrote for ourselves. A real customer, a driveway problem tougher than expected, and what happened next, right down to the owner’s reply.

★★★★★ Verified Google review

“Our driveway had some paint applied from the previous house owners that started chipping and peeling away. We called Power Wash America to come and get it removed, and while it turned out to be a tougher job than expected, they stayed the course and got the job done. They did what they said they were going to do, were courteous, and we’re happy with the end result and the price we paid. I’d absolutely recommend Power Wash America for pressure washing services.”
